Albrecht's Garb Plan

Albrecht van der Meer, guy with no plan. Party per pale murray and sanguine, a main sable appalmed charged with an increscent argent and five stars of four points argent above. (Could be purpure & gules if needed, and I know my wording on those stars is dead wrong.)

Even though his persona is later period- into the 1500's- most of his garb is earlier than that. He likes a Viking silhouette in his pants, which could easily be replicated later on with late 16th century English looks. He does eventually want a more Shakespearean "rock star" look. Black. He wants black.

2x Pants. For proper pouf I need 50% more crispy bacon; he has a 52" waist, so I was thinking a 54" fabric as my guide would be fine. I want a woolen pair with attached winingas, and a linen pair that are bare below the knee. 2.25 yards of linen, 3.25 yards of wool, 2 yards muslin for lining of lower legs and facing waistbands. I'm also going to need about 6 yards of twill tape to use as drawstrings. Examples for pants, 1, 2, 3.

A short-sleeved tunic. I was thinking gray, so it still looks fine with the colors we'll be choosing for his pants. A quilter's cotton would be fine for that for now. I'm thinking of going really short with the sleeves, though. Maybe even cap sleeves, so that it's like a medieval muscle shirt. With sleeves, I'm looking at about 3.5 yards of gray quilter's cotton. (Retcon, he chose a tawny beige instead of gray.)

I want to order him these boots, and make him a simple black belt pouch, then we'll be good.
